Why I Wrote This Book
I wrote this book because, despite years of studying movement and caring deeply about my
own health, I kept feeling like something wasn’t adding up.
I exercised. I practiced yoga. I did what I believed were healthy things. Yet I still had questions.
Over time, I realized there was one important piece missing from many health conversations:
the body depends on everyday biological movement inputs that are easy to overlook.
This book brings those pieces together in a practical, accessible way so they finally make sense.
This book is for you if…
- You want to better understand how your body works.
- You’ve tried many approaches but still feel like something is missing.
- You’re living with recurring pain or stiffness.
- You’re interested in healthy aging and long-term resilience.
- You enjoy learning the “why” behind movement and health.
You’ll Discover…
• Why exercise and biological requirements are not the same thing.
• Why many common movement habits have quietly disappeared from modern life.
• How the body adapts when important movement inputs are missing.
• Why simple movements can have powerful long-term effects.
• A practical framework for understanding movement through a biological lens.
A Peek Inside…

About the Author
Cassie Love is a movement educator, anatomy educator, and the creator of the Essential Movement framework.
After years of teaching yoga and studying human movement, she became increasingly interested in a simple question:
Why were so many people doing all the “right” things and still struggling with pain, stiffness, and declining function?
That question led her beyond exercise and into the biological movement requirements the body depends on to maintain
itself over time.
Today, her work brings together anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, neuroscience, and movement education to help
people understand the body in a clear, practical, and empowering way.
The Body Remembers Health reflects her belief that when people understand how the body works,
they can make small, meaningful changes that support health for years to come.
