    Yoga in Westport Ontario

    Westport Ontario Yoga, Cassie Love offers Yoga near the Rideau Lakes. These Yoga classes run in 6 weeks series and are all levels.
    Classes start the first week of September. 

    September Yoga Schedule (6-week sessions – $90) 

    United Church – 27 Spring St, Westport
    • Mondays @ 6:30 PM – Yin Yoga (Sept. 1)
    • Thursdays @ 6:30 PM – Yin Yoga  (Sept. 4th)

    Westport Legion (6-week sessions – $90 each or $120 for both classes)

    • Tuesdays @ 5:15 PM – NEW! Vibrant Life: Hatha Yoga (Sept. 2)

    Hatha Yoga (Active All Levels):
    Hatha yoga also referred to as the “yoga of health” due to its focus on physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation, which contribute to overall well-being. Involves getting up and down from the floor but is not strenuous.

    Essential Body Movements (EM):
    Targeted, healing movements that address root causes of pain and illness. EM supports natural pain relief, improves health, and may reduce the risk of conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

     Yin Yoga (Stretch & Relax):
    A gentle, floor-based practice that focuses on deep stretching, relaxation, and flexibility. Ideal for injury recovery, stress relief, and immune support. Cassie also integrates Essential Movements (EM), based on biomechanics, to promote natural pain relief and long-term health. Perfect for feeling restored and revitalized.

    Drop-ins are welcome, but space is limited. To drop in, please arrive 5 minutes before class. Keep in mind that if the class is full, you may be turned away.

    Fun Yoga Etiquette

    A few quick things to keep in mind:

    • Arrive a bit early so you can get settled and ready. We start promptly and it’s a great chance to grab your props and get comfy on your mat. 
    • Dress comfy for those stretches, and please skip the perfumes and strong scents. We’ll be diving into breathwork, and we want everyone to stay allergy-free and blissed out.
    • All level classes— I’m all about safety and comfort, so nothing here will put you at risk. Just listen to your body and skip any moves that feel off.
    • Silence your cell phones.
     

    A Note on Space & Support

    In our yoga community, we hold space for each other. This space can be sacred—some come to heal from grief, illness, or mental health challenges, while others come to move, connect, or simply have fun.

    As your teacher, I, Cassie Love, may offer gentle hands-on support to help you feel more comfortable in poses. I always ask for consent before touching, and you’re welcome to say no—verbally, by shaking your head, or gently pulling away. I won’t take it personally.

    Meet Cassie Love: Your Fun and Fabulous Movement Expert!

    Ready to feel amazing and look great? Meet Cassie Love, your new favourite Essential Movement expert and yoga teacher! Cassie knows how to make your body move in ways that can reduce pain, help you recover from injuries, and make you feel younger and more energetic. She’s like a magic wand for your body!

    Cassie has been on her yoga journey since the late 80s and has been teaching yoga professionally since 2011. After spending 14 wonderful years at the Rama Lotus Yoga Centre, she’s taught everything from Power Yoga to the super chill Restorative Yoga. She can teach: Power Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga along with Restorative Exercises. Cassie didn’t just stop there—she helped train other yoga teachers and became a lead 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainer.

    She’s also an E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) and is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider® (YACEP®). But wait, there’s more! Cassie got certified as a Restorative Exercise Specialist through Nutritious Movement™. She learned from the amazing Katy Bowman, one of the worlds best experts on how our bodies move, and completed a two-year training program with Katy Bowman.

    Cassie has a lot of knowledge not just in yoga, but also in biomechanicspsychology, and how to make you feel good all over. She’s got an Honors BA from the University of Ottawa and has worked with people in yoga studios, gyms, retirement homes, community centers, online and private sessions. Whether you need help bouncing back from an injury, staying healthy, or creating a fun and lasting exercise practice, Cassie is here for you.

    Cassie has practiced yoga since the late 80’s and taught yoga professionally since 2011. Her 14 years of being a member at the Rama Lotus Yoga Centre gave her opportunities to teach Power, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga. Cassie assisted in teacher training programs eventually joining the teacher training team as one of the lead teachers. Cassie is a E-RYT and was a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider® (YACEP®).

    Nutritious Movement™ certified Restorative Exercise Specialist. 

    Cassie Love personally trained with Katy Bowman, one of the world’s leading biomechanists, for 4 years and has completed the two year program with Katy Bowman as a Nutritious Movement™ certified Restorative Exercise Specialist. 

    Dr. Bessel A. van der Kolk’s Trauma Treatment Mastery Course

    Successfully completed the 15 hour ‘Intensive Trauma Treatment Course‘ under Dr. Bessel van der Kolk. Internationally acclaimed clinician, educator and experts on trauma. Through his research in treating PTSD / trauma and its underlying neurobiology, he shares how methods such as yoga, meditation, or eye movement therapy lead to deep, lasting healing.
